You're a Good Man...

About Thoeretica

Thoeretica was spawned from innocent typos. It doesn't have that much of a purpose...but Thoeretica is a new place, and its vivid history has yet to grow, so we hope that you'll stick around here and watch it do just that. Thoeretica is run by Mike and Ben.

About Mike

Mike's a good man. Visit his personal site here: http://hirshon.net

About Ben

Ben is, for the most part, a good man, as well.

The Legend of Thoeretica

It was back in the grande ole' year of 2003 that Ben and Mike set out to create a site. They didn't really know what the site would be, or have any ideas for it, besides buying the domain. They weren't especially motivated, either. Why did they even speak about it? Well, you could say, it was a pipe dream. A dream that wouldn't materialize until the winter of 2005. Oh yes, it was a cold winter: the nights were dark, the snow deep, and the days long. No one quite knew how long it would be before this devastating winter would meet its end. With only a weekend separating them from their dreaded midterms, they finally purchased Thoeretica. And distraction was born! No studying took forth that weekend, only futzing around with cPanel and the many other novelties of Thoeretica's backend intricacies. Work on Thoeretica did not commence for some time. Mike uploaded his personal site and made changes to that, and Ben did other things which are secret! You hear that!? They both founded the Advisoray Forums, and didn't concentrate much on an actual site for Thoeretica.net. It just read "Thoeretica is a good man," which it was. Finally, after much of their grueling work had subsided, it was time to create their masterwork. It was time to create Thoeretica.

Keys were typed furiously and mouses killed incessantly as Mike skillfully pumped out a frontend layout while Ben thoughtfully produced an efficient and powerful backend CMS. Thoeretica was created, but its path had just begun. And to continue the hackneyed cliches, Mike kept typing crapful jargon that no one wanted to read. Witty epigrams spewed forth from his exhausted fingers like...
